EPC Project Manager I

Location: Jackson MI (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ months, potential for extension

Job Description

Location: Jackson, MI (hybrid. M, T, Th onsite) - Jackson hard line on Monday and T, Th may report to a different service center (W, F remote but there may also be some travel involved on these days as well)

minor travel to a couple of sites to support natural gas projects

Department: Development team: develop new generation

supporting natural gas generation plants - couple of plants that we are developing currently. We have a project manager that leads, a project development manager that leads those, and we're looking for support to accomplish in those developments. These projects are in early development - they don't have everything nailed down yet in terms of scope (scope is changing regularly as they are reviewing economic choices)

Responsibilities:

supporting our development of natural gas generation plants.

Report to the lead development manager and would assist with typical project management activities

maintaining the project schedule, updating the schedule as it evolves, manage the project budget, things that change in the project from cost and schedule.

Taking meeting minutes, setting up meetings, coordinating with cross-functional teams, the development, there's a lot of technical work going on with engineering.

help navigate economic choices for new projects in development

will perform environmental work and work with supply chain (getting vendors to build projects and procure equipment)

Skills:

3-5+ years of experience

PM experience familiar with project lifecycle

understanding of stage gates and how to prep for stage gates

managing a project through various approvals

scheduling experience or cost experience (does not need to know how to use P6 or cost software)

natural gas generation experience preferred

PMP preferred

bachelor's degree in related field
