Function:
Responsible for the quality assurance of operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing actions plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
Essential Duties and Competencies:
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining an Acceptable Quality System to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and other National Aviation Authorities.
- Key contact person for representatives from the relevant National Aviation Authorities and the Company’s customers with respect to all matters relating to the Acceptable Quality System.
- Monitors and incorporates changes to the Acceptable Quality System and manuals relating to the Acceptable Quality System, in order to ensure compliance with the applicable part 145 regulations administered by the respective National Aviation Authorities.
- Monitors, maintains, and reviews personnel authorizations and /or personnel approvals and work performed by the Company.
- Accountable for audits and audit schedules of approved vendors and subcontractors and maintenance of approved vendors and subcontractors lists.
- Manages other functions relating to the Acceptable Quality System, which are necessary to operate and maintain a Repair Station approved by the FAA and other authorities.
- Establishes quality goals and requirements by designing, organizing, and promoting a quality culture and developing and disseminating standards.
- Administers the Occupational Health and Safety management system.
- Conducts safety, risk reviews, audit and establishes and maintains safety operations by adhering to procedures and policies.
- Investigates incidents and accidents to establish root causes and recommend remedial actions.
- Organize safety campaigns to promote safety consciousness among workers.
- Completes housekeeping around work areas assigned.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Definitions:
- “Acceptable Quality System” shall mean, with respect to:
- the FAA, a quality stem which meets the requirements in the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 145;
- the EASA, a quality system which meets the requirements of EASA Part 145 regulations,
- the CAAS, a quality system which meets the requirements of the Singapore Airworthiness Requirements (SAR) Part 145,
- “Repair Station” shall refer to the Company’s aircraft maintenance facility at Los Angeles International Airport, which carries out any one of the combination of overhaul, repair, inspection, replacements, modification, or defect rectification of an aircraft/aircraft component.
- "Personnel Authorizations” or “Personnel Approvals” shall refer to the certification that the individual/s are permitted/ authorized/approved by the Company to perform on its behalf under the Acceptable Quality System.

Requirements:

Education/Experience:
Degree in Operations, Management or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10 years in maintenance repair or related experience.
Certificate(s):
A & P License
