The Logistics Operations Lead provides leadership and coordination for daily logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and timely support for production needs. This role supervises logistics personnel, monitors operational performance, and ensures adherence to safety, quality, and process standards. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency, process improvements, and overall supply chain performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all internal logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, inspection processes, and material handling activities, ensuring alignment with Warehouse Management System (WMS) requirements and FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory protocols.
- Establish and maintain operational standards for Forklift Operators, including onboarding procedures, daily task assignments, and the implementation of a skill-based badge certification program supported by standardized performance scorecards across multiple warehouse zones.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for Shift Leads, Logistics Coordinators, and Forklift Drivers to ensure consistent performance tracking, operational efficiency, and accountability across warehouse operations.
- Implement and audit 5S workplace organization standards, maintain proper inventory organization, and make real-time operational adjustments to support changing production demands.
- Develop, update, and standardize logistics documentation, including operational forms, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and weekly or monthly compliance reports in accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Collaborate with Quality, Safety, and Human Resources departments to address process deviations, resolve staffing concerns, and support both internal and external audits, including customer audits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including the optimization on workflow,standardization of WMS practices, optimization of warehouse layout for raw material storage and material flow, implementation of new procedures and human resources management.
- Serve as a key communication point between shifts, escalating urgent operational issues when necessary and ensuring smooth communication and coordination with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S workplace organization practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a considerable plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Shift: Monday – Thursday: 2:00PM – 12:00AM, Friday: 10AM-6PM, Weekend and overtime as needed.
Pay: $25 -$27.50 (depending on experience)
