Summary:
This position is responsible for the management of the NTTA’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) program, including ongoing and planned ITS planning, design, procurement, construction, technical integration, and operation. Provides oversight and acts as the management resource for all ongoing and planned ITS initiatives, responsible for the development and management of ITS project management plans, assesses and reports on ITS project status including the identification of project cost and schedule variances, responsible for the development and management of ITS project teams, responsible for the continued operation and maintenance of implemented ITS technical components and related systems and responsible for the identification, implementation and continued monitoring of ITS process improvements.
Retention Bonus: $1,500

Responsibilities:
- Defines and manages the organizational processes used to plan, design, procure, install, and manage the Authority’s ITS.
- Serves as primary point-of-contact with ITS-related vendors and contractors.
- Works with the Senior ITS Manager in the strategic planning process and translates business needs into technical systems solutions. Coordinates and communicates regularly with Assistant Director of Information Technology to develop and manage the program’s budget and to ensure that all projects are completed within the schedule and budget.
- Responsible for the development and management of ITS project teams, ITS design, and PS&E review and coordination.
- Manages project communications and documentation and reviews work of other project team members for accuracy and completeness. Manages the technical correctness and completeness of integrated systems designs.
- Responsible for the design and operation of roadside ITS elements, including but not limit to, fiber optic telecommunications systems, roadway Incident Detection Systems and Traffic Management Systems. Coordinate with ongoing and planned roadway design initiatives to establish ITS elements. Develop and write technical reports and correspondence.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Associate’s degree
- 5 – 7 years’ experience
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Experience in the implementation of telecommunication networks for both data and video signal transmission under both wireless and wireline configurations.
- Experience in the deployment of ITS field equipment and electrical components.
