This role requires that the individual supports aspects of Acquisition or Divestiture projects from transition planning to conclusion. Assisting in the accomplishment of project objectives through detailed planning, using standard processes, risk identification and mitigation, resource alignment, evaluation of priorities, precise communication and establishment of robust governance, progress reporting and escalation protocols
Role Description
- Support the project management team in delivery of Integration and Separation activities through involvement in project planning and initiation, execution and project closure.
- Apply project management skills to assist to identify and handle resource requirements, define project deliverables, identify and minimize risks, measure outcomes and ensure effective project execution to improve growth and value creation for Johnson & Johnson.
- Have involvement within the overall project team and may have direct accountability for specific areas or functional inputs.
- Provide project management support to accomplish work objectives.
Core Job Functions
- Support project governance processes identifying key decision required and when to apply escalation processes.
- Support key project delivery activities to ensure a timely and successful attainment of Project Objectives
- Identify and analyze risks and future impact of decisions. Promote timely action in pursuit of priorities.
- As Project Management support on assigned projects, performs a variety of duties relating to assembling, coordinating and managing cross functional teams.
- Support aspects of complex functional transition or separation plans or fully integrated project plans.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to functional management and personnel.
- Support project status review and planning meetings.
- Support development of communications and reports to Stakeholders, Business Partners, Steering Committees, Integration Teams, PMO and Functional COP’s.
- Support in developing functional plans, goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
- Capture lessons learned for each project and convey details to PM Director for incorporation into enterprise processes for future improvements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum 3 years of business experience in Project Management supporting complex or large-scale projects is required.
- Experience working within large, cross-functional teams (ex, 10-15 people) is preferred.
- Global acquisitions & divestitures experience is preferred
- Core business knowledge and experience partnering across multiple functions (Supply Chain, Sales R&D, IT for example) Financial Management for project budget or elements of project budgets with a value > $5MM (preferred).
- Experience supporting planning and implementing change management for projects with global, multi-regional, cross company impact, or large scale user impact (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills are required.
- Creative problem solver with an ability to offer solutions/opinions within a multi functional team dynamic is required.
- Ability to facilitate discussion, progress effectively and handle audience as needed (internally and externally) is required.
- Ability to gather and report out day-to-day activities of matrix project teams, third party partners and contact resources is required.
- Flexibility and adaptability to operate within highly demanding and constantly evolving project environment with focus on detailed execution is required.
- Program Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification is preferred.
- This position is located in New Brunswick, NJ and may require up to 10% of travel.
