The <\/span>Senior Manager, Logistics\/ Transportation<\/b> <\/span>will be responsible to manage transportation operations, fleet and maintenance management, transportation procurement, freight audit, brokerage, and transportation technology (TMS, Equipment Tracking, Routing).<\/span><\/span>

Working within the client team, this role will<\/span>
<\/p>\n
\n Understand client's Supply Chain\/Transportation & Logistics related processes, capabilities, and systems<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n Identify and learn business challenges and operations of customers<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n Set engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans, and coordinate activities across and between multiple project workstreams<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n Identify and implement strategic programs for clients' operations departments, and develop ways to assess, measure, and improve operational performance<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n Assess and\/or guide the assessment of large datasets to discover meaningful patterns, trends and relationships<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n Develop advanced analytics and \/ or cognitive approaches to generate insights and improve supply chain performance<\/span><\/span>

<\/p>\n Education<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>

\n \n \n Bachelor's and\/or Master's degree in industrial engineering, operations research, supply chain management or similar field<\/span>
<\/li>\n <\/ul><\/span><\/span>\n <\/div>\n
<\/p>\n Experience<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
<\/h3>\n
<\/p>\n
\n 5+ years of professional experience working in a Supply Chain\/Transportation department or with a Transportation Services Provider<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n 3+ years of experience with Transportation Management System (TMS) solutions technology and\/or implementation experience in one of the following: JDA\/Blue Yonder, Oracle OTM, Descartes, Manhattan Associates, or MercuryGate<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n Experience using analytics and metrics to assess transportation optimization performance, carrier performance, and operational performance to identify and quantify improvement opportunities<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n 3+ years of experience with transportation management specific to equipment management, fleet management, maintenance management and driver management<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>\n Experience in the following transportation modes: Ocean, Parcel, Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Rail, Expedited and Final Mile.<\/span><\/span>

\n <\/div>\n \n Rates: <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>The daily rate to the consultant will be based on experience for the right professional, and final client negotiations. Anticipated rate is USD 140 per hour ($1,100 per diem)<\/span><\/span>
