The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational readiness, safety oversight, and performance of rescue service operations. This position directs day-to-day field activities, ensures regulatory compliance, manages personnel deployment, and maintains the organization’s emergency response capability for industrial rescue and standby services.
An Operations Manager at SET Rescue & Safety is responsible to:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of rescue services and transportation logistics
- Direct, coordinate, and evaluate field supervisors and rescue personnel
- Determine staffing levels and qualifications required for assigned projects
- Coordinate personnel, equipment, and resource allocation between offices and job sites
- Ensure operational readiness of rescue teams and equipment prior to deployment
- Enforce company safety policies and regulatory compliance requirements in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards
- Conduct site audits to verify safe operations and proper rescue coverage
- Exercise authority to delay, modify, or stop work when unsafe conditions exist
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and operational deficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Train and support supervisors to ensure safe and efficient job site operations
- Address customer operational concerns and resolve field issues
- Review and approve operational and capital equipment needs
- Provide coaching, counseling, and performance feedback to staff
- Support operational readiness and emergency response capability
- Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma required; related 4-year degree preferred
- Experience in emergency response, industrial safety, or technical rescue operations strongly preferred
- Understands key financial indicators and success measures
- Ability to evaluate risk and make operational decisions under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Competent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and basic e-mail)
- Ability to effectively support, coach, inspire and motivate team members

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
