About the Role
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, optimizes resource utilization, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to achieve quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), TPM, 5S, continuous flow, takt and cycle time analysis, and waste elimination.
- Develop and implement standardized work instructions in English and provide training to team members to ensure proper understanding and execution.
- Establish and maintain standard labor times, cycle time, and takt time data for production processes.
- Design and optimize facility layouts using CAD software.
- Use simulation tools to analyze and enhance production flow and system performance.
- Lead cost reduction and process improvement projects to improve operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and justify capital equipment investments based on performance and cost-benefit analysis.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and implement safety improvements to reduce risk.
- Manage cross-functional projects and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Travel domestically and internationally is required to support projects, training, and process implementation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering (required).
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in line balancing, productivity and capacity analysis, time studies, standardized work, and Lean manufacturing tools.
- Familiarity with automation or semi-automation systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and ergonomic analysis preferred.
