Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Process Engineer for a leading manufacturer in Minnetonka, MN. In this role, you’ll support one of the largest PCB production operations in the U.S., driving process improvements, ensuring product quality, and partnering with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, hands‑on engineering environment. What You’ll Do as a Process Engineer:
- Develop, control, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency
- Create and maintain process control plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards and oversight of production activities
- Apply structured problem‑solving methods and statistical tools to monitor processes and recommend corrective actions
- Support and train production employees on procedures and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve real‑time production issues
- Provide project updates, yield analyses, and presentations to management
- Assist in defining equipment and material requirements and drafting specifications
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input on new products and projects
What You Need to Bring to the Process Engineer Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred (other technical degrees considered)
- Manufacturing experience required; PCB, semiconductor, solar, plating, or circuit board assembly experience preferred
- Experience implementing and improving manufacturing processes and yields
- Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills
- Working knowledge of Lean principles and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate across engineering, production, and leadership teams
- Highly organized with strong leadership capabilities
- Ability to commute daily to Minnetonka, MN
