About Us
We are a fast-growing logistics and transportation company expanding our operations in Chicago. As we establish our new warehouse and fleet operations, we are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Logistics Management Specialist to join our team.
This is a full-time, onsite role requiring a combination of field inspections and in-office administrative work. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Mandarin Chinese & English), highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and record daily truck mileage and operational activity
- Conduct on-site vehicle inspections (mileage, physical condition, dashboard alerts, engine lights, damages, etc.)
- Maintain accurate fleet condition and inspection records
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs with drivers and dispatch team
- Communicate with rental companies regarding service or billing issues
- Manage and review Chicago-based vehicle-related invoices and expenses
- Track and differentiate leased vs. company-owned vehicles
- Maintain organized fleet inventory and usage reports
- Prepare daily and weekly operational summary reports for management
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend solutions
- Support cost control and asset management initiatives
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of logistics, fleet, or operations management experience
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license (required)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Comfortable working in both field and office environments
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer systems
- Experience in trucking or transportation industry preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time position
- Onsite in Chicago, IL
- Combination of field inspections and office work
- Monday–Friday (operational flexibility may be required)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year (based on experience)
