We are looking for an International Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Manhattan Beach, California. In this role, you will oversee the logistics and documentation for international shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. This is a Contract to permanent position within the retail industry, offering an exciting opportunity to manage global shipping operations and collaborate with various teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage international shipments, ensuring all documentation and processes comply with requirements.
• Review and verify shipping documents for accuracy, including invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, and other necessary paperwork.
• Resolve discrepancies in pricing, documentation, and invoicing by collaborating with finance teams, factories, and international partners.
• Process invoices and shipping documents in the company's systems to ensure timely payment and proper tracking.
• Monitor shipment activities and ensure cargo arrives at destinations within the required timeframe.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, forwarders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth shipping operations.
• Generate and review reports to track shipment progress and identify any potential issues.
• Interact with customer service, customs teams, and other departments to address order-related concerns or system discrepancies.
• Maintain organized records and filing systems for all international shipments processed.
• Ensure financial presentations and required documents are sent to customers and institutions to secure payment.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a retail or international shipping environment.
• Strong knowledge of shipping documentation requirements, including letters of credit and certificates of origin.
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems for tracking and processing shipments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
• Effective communication abilities to interact with internal teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and practices.
