Senior Director, IT Strategy & Delivery
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Compensation: $200,000–$230,000 per year

Role Summary
We are seeking a transformational Senior Director, IT Strategy & Delivery to lead enterprise technical strategy, architecture, and execution for a large, complex healthcare organization. This executive-level leader will own end-to-end technical delivery outcomes across mission-critical digital initiatives—ensuring solutions are architected correctly, integrated securely, implemented with rigor, and operationally sustainable at scale.
This role serves as the single point of accountability for technical delivery across the enterprise, spanning application architecture, systems integration, infrastructure readiness, interoperability, vendor performance, and deployment governance.
This is not just a delivery leadership role—it requires deep technical judgment, decisive leadership, and ownership of enterprise-level technology outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Technical Delivery Leadership
- Own end-to-end technical delivery across major digital and enterprise initiatives.
- Establish and enforce enterprise technical standards, architecture governance, and quality controls.
- Ensure production readiness including scalability, reliability, performance, and supportability.
- Drive proactive risk management and executive-level escalation when necessary.
- Oversee integration design, system interoperability, development oversight, testing strategy, and go-live readiness.
- Ensure seamless transition from project implementation to operational support.
Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Translate enterprise and operational priorities into actionable technical roadmaps.
- Own forward-looking architecture and integration blueprints across core platforms.
- Balance short-term execution with long-term platform sustainability and technical debt management.
- Provide authoritative technical input into enterprise investment decisions and sequencing strategies.
Vendor & Partner Governance
- Lead technical oversight of strategic vendors and delivery partners.
- Establish vendor performance metrics and enforce architectural compliance.
- Drive objective vendor evaluation based on technical merit and total cost of ownership.
- Manage complex, multi-vendor technical ecosystems.
Executive Leadership & Governance
- Lead and develop senior technical leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Communicate complex technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to executive and clinical leadership.
- Maintain delivery transparency through structured governance and reporting.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engineering rigor, and continuous improvement.
Technical Expertise Required
- Enterprise application architecture and large-scale systems integration
- Interoperability frameworks (APIs, messaging, data pipelines)
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure (scalability, resiliency, security controls)
- Production readiness disciplines (release management, performance testing, post-deployment support)
- Technology risk management (security, reliability, compliance)
- Oversight of complex, multi-vendor environments
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive enterprise technology leadership experience
- Demonstrated ownership of technical strategy and delivery for large-scale, mission-critical systems
- Experience leading cross-functional, enterprise-wide technical teams
- Strong executive presence and decision-making ability in high-stakes environments
- Experience operating in regulated environments with strong governance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare technology experience (clinical systems, interoperability, provider workflows)
- Experience partnering with physicians and clinical operations leadership
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms in active operational environments
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or related field)
