Job Title - Healthcare Project Manager
Location - NYC - Onsite Monday–Thursday, Remote Friday (Candidates must reside within 1 hour 15 minutes of the office)
Role Type - Direct Hire
Must Have Skills:
- Proven project management experience with the ability to independently lead and drive initiatives forward
- Healthcare industry experience on the payer side, with the ability to “speak the business” and guide direction based on industry knowledge
- Strong technical background prior to transitioning into project management; ability to communicate fluently with IT teams
- Demonstrated ability to provide directional leadership and guide stakeholder decision-making with credibility
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with strong-willed personalities
Responsibilities and Job Details:
- Lead and drive cross-functional healthcare initiatives from planning through execution
- Partner closely with IT and business teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives
- Provide informed technical guidance and ask the right questions to move projects forward effectively
- Shepherd stakeholders through key decisions, offering strategic direction rooted in payer-industry knowledge
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes
- Facilitate collaboration across departments in a highly team-oriented environment
- Maintain accountability for project progress while operating with autonomy and ownership
- Communicate clearly and consistently with leadership regarding status, risks, and next steps
- Foster strong working relationships built on trust, reliability, and credibility
- Participate in regular 1:1 meetings and quarterly performance discussions to ensure continued alignment and growth
