We are seeking a detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Engineer to ensure seamless execution of our production processes. In this role, you will act as a critical link between engineering and manufacturing, performing engineering file quality checks, providing real-time support to production teams, and driving continuous improvements to our acoustic product lines. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough quality checks and adjustments on production files and associated paperwork at various stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with product specifications.
- Support manufacturing operations by collaborating with sub-departments (including machining, assembly, printing, and packaging) to address product issues during production; develop real-time solutions and provide clear, actionable documentation to facilitate swift resolution.
- Track lessons learned from production challenges and communicate them effectively to the engineering team via the Engineering Manager and Product Development groups, enabling global updates to product master files for ongoing process optimization.
- Work cross-functionally to identify potential bottlenecks, recommend enhancements to workflows, and contribute to the development of standardized manufacturing protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of engineering quality audits, resolutions, and improvements, ensuring all documentation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing support, quality assurance, or production coordination, preferably in a custom fabrication or materials-based industry (e.g., acoustics, textiles, or modular building products).
- Proficiency in Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D) for reviewing and adjusting production files.
- Strong proficiency in file management tools (e.g., CAD software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks) and familiarity with production documentation systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time, with experience collaborating across manufacturing sub-departments.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a data-driven approach to tracking and implementing lessons learned.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data tracking) and experience with ERP or manufacturing software (e.g., MRP systems).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document processes clearly and collaborate with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
- Knowledge of acoustic materials, felt fabrication, or custom panel production processes.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen).
- Familiarity with quality management systems like ISO 9001.
- Exposure to global team collaboration in a multinational manufacturing environment.
