The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple scaffolding and insulation projects to ensure safe, profitable, and timely execution. This role manages project performance from award through completion, including cost control, purchasing, scheduling, change order management, and customer coordination.
A critical function of the role is maintaining strong communication with Sales Representatives regarding job status, opportunities, risks, and customer needs to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
The Project Manager works closely with field supervision, operations, safety, estimating, and sales teams to ensure successful project delivery while meeting company financial and operational objectives.
Monday-Thursday (Four 10-hour shifts) overtime available based on business need
Project Execution & Oversight
- Manage multiple scaffolding and insulation projects simultaneously across assigned territory.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material needs with operations and field leadership.
- Monitor job progress, productivity, and schedule performance.
- Conduct regular job reviews and site visits to ensure execution aligns with plan.
Financial & Cost Management
- Track and manage project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate job cost forecasting and margin performance.
- Approve and control job-related purchases and rental needs.
- Identify cost overruns early and implement corrective actions.
Change Orders & Scope Control
- Identify out-of-scope work and ensure change orders are documented, priced, approved, and billed.
- Prevent unapproved scope execution whenever possible.
Sales & Customer Coordination
- Provide Sales Representatives with ongoing updates regarding:
- Job status and progress
- Upcoming customer needs
- Additional service opportunities
- Customer concerns or risks
- Support sales growth by identifying additional opportunities at existing job sites.
- Maintain strong working relationships with customers and site contacts.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all projects comply with company and client safety requirements.
- Support field leadership in maintaining safe job sites and addressing safety concerns.
- Participate in incident reviews and corrective action processes when needed.
Communication & Leadership
- Set priorities and expectations to meet operational objectives.
- Communicate project requirements, schedules, and performance expectations clearly.
- Address day-to-day operational and technical issues promptly.
- 5+ years managing construction, scaffolding, insulation, or industrial service projects preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of project cost control and job profitability.
- Experience with purchasing and resource coordination.
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Knowledge of industrial job site safety requirements.
- Proficiency with project tracking and reporting tools preferred.
- Valid Driver's license
