Overview
The Vice President of Information Technology is a strategic, execution‑driven leader responsible for shaping and delivering the company’s technology vision. This role oversees enterprise IT operations, software engineering, and product management to ensure technology investments directly enable business growth, operational excellence, and customer value. The VP IT will lead cross‑functional teams, modernize systems and processes, and drive a cohesive roadmap that aligns technology, product, and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Technology & Enterprise IT Leadership
- Own the end‑to‑end IT strategy, ensuring infrastructure, security, data, and applications are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.
- Lead IT operations, including network, cloud, cybersecurity, service desk, and enterprise systems, with a focus on uptime, resilience, and continuous improvement.
- Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and operating models that elevate service quality, transparency, and accountability.
Software Development & Engineering Excellence
- Oversee all software development initiatives, from architecture and design to delivery and maintenance.
- Champion modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, cloud‑native architectures, automated testing, observability).
- Build and mentor high‑performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence.
- Ensure development efforts are predictable, high‑quality, and aligned with product and business needs.
Product Management & Roadmap Ownership
- Partner with executive leadership to define the long‑term product vision and translate it into a clear, actionable roadmap.
- Lead product management teams in prioritizing features, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment across engineering, design, operations, sales, and customer success.
- Implement data‑driven decision‑making frameworks to evaluate product performance and inform roadmap evolution.
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on technology strategy, digital transformation, and innovation opportunities.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for stakeholders at all levels.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance competitiveness and operational efficiency.
- Lead vendor strategy, contract negotiations, and technology partnerships to optimize cost, performance, and scalability.
Operational Excellence & Risk Management
- Ensure robust cybersecurity posture, compliance, and risk management across all systems and processes.
- Develop business continuity and disaster recovery strategies that protect the organization from operational disruptions.
- Optimize IT budgets, resource allocation, and investment planning to maximize ROI.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, including oversight of operations, software development, and product management.
- Proven track record leading large, cross‑functional technology teams in high‑growth or complex environments.
- Deep expertise in modern engineering practices, cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, customer‑centric design, and agile methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance long‑term vision with short‑term execution.
