About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Specialist to join our Shipping & Receiving team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and sending outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, proper packaging, and on-time delivery. If you enjoy hands-on work, staying organized, and being a key part of a fast-paced operation, this role could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
Daily Responsibilities
- Pick items for shipment according to customer orders
- Pack items securely and accurately for shipment
- Verify orders before packaging and inspect items for damage
- Ensure all packaging meets company and carrier requirements
- Create and print shipping labels and packing slips
- Stage completed packages in designated outgoing areas
- Communicate any issues or delays to the Shipping & Receiving Lead
- Maintain adequate stock of shipping supplies
- Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and safe
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
- Support and align with Lean Six Sigma initiatives and company goals
