TSV is partnering with one of the nation's largest retail grocers to hire a Senior Director, Regional Distribution Operations. This is strategic leadership role reporting to the VP of Distribution. The incumbent is expected to travel 75% and is expected to work from one of the distribution site locations in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Texas, or Kansas when not traveling. What You Will Do:
- Communicate and explain new initiatives, directives, policies, and procedures to Site Leaders and leadership teams for major changes, meet with operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
- Ensure that controls are in place to analyze, react to, and minimize cost factors of labor, material, and burden in the manufacturing and distribution center operations.
- Determine operational effectiveness of sites and ensure consistent, continuous improvement through appropriate management process.
- Oversee network strategy for the category by interfacing with appropriate teams concerning operation capabilities, cost, and quality considerations.
- Develop and maintain retail division relationships to assist in creating synergies between supply chain and retail, improving the flow of product.
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide coaching, development, and succession planning to direct reports and at the site level.
What You'll Bring:
- 10+ years’ experience as a Logistics Site Leader in Retail Distribution
- 10+ years of experience with Direct to Consumer, (DTC) in Retail
- Continuous Improvement, (CI) experience spanning over multiple distribution centers
- Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation
- Strong financial acumen and vast experience managing capital budgets
- Strong people leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or organizational development, Master's degree preferred
