About HEN TechnologiesHEN Technologies is a deep-tech company building the world’s first end-to-end intelligent fire suppression ecosystem, powered by AI, IoT, and advanced fluid dynamics. Our mission is to modernize how the world prevents and responds to fires by replacing outdated, manual systems with connected, data-driven technology that is more water-efficient and intelligently coordinated across every layer of the fireground. Backed by top-tier Venture Capital, HEN Technologies is proving that the future of fire defense is intelligent, connected, and preventative.
The RoleWe are seeking a visionary Director of Manufacturing & Operations to architect and lead our rapid scaling journey. HEN is currently experiencing explosive growth, and we need a leader who can transition our operations from a high-potential startup into a world-class manufacturing powerhouse capable of 10x production volume within the next 24–36 months.
Your mission is to bridge the gap between R&D and the customer, ensuring our complex hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems are built to the highest quality standards, at scale, and on time.
Key Responsibilities● Strategic Scaling & Roadmap: Design and execute the multi-year operational roadmap to support rapid-fire growth, including facility optimization, labor strategy, and capital expenditure planning.
● DFM/DFA Leadership: Partner deeply with the R&D team during the SolidWorks design phase to ensure all products are optimized for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA).
● Production & Assembly Management: Oversee in-house assembly, QC, and fulfillment. Transition current processes into high-efficiency, semi-automated production lines.
● Supply Chain Orchestration: Manage a sophisticated network of component partners. Ensure "Quality at the Source" to maintain a seamless flow of parts.
● Quality & Compliance: Develop and maintain rigorous QC protocols and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, UL, or FM Global) essential for life-safety equipment.
● Lean Transformation: Champion Lean Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory turns as we scale.
Qualifications● Experience: 10+ years in manufacturing/operations leadership, specifically within electro-mechanical industries (e.g., robotics, automotive, aerospace, or industrial fluids).
● Scale: Proven track record of leading operations through an aggressive high-growth phase (moving from early-stage commercialization to large-scale market penetration).
● Technical Proficiency: Expert-level understanding of DFM/DFA; ability to navigate SolidWorks models and identify assembly bottlenecks early.
● Methodology: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience in continuous improvement and process optimization.
● Education: B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering. An MBA or advanced degree in Operations is a strong plus.
