JOB SUMMARY
Overview
Seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee a large corporate fleet program, managing approximately 500 company-owned vehicles, corporate pool vehicles, and reimbursed personal vehicle drivers. This role focuses on fleet operations, financial controls, compliance, safety, and sustainability initiatives while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily fleet operations including maintenance approvals, vehicle ordering, disposals, registrations, and driver/vehicle data updates.
- Coordinate accident reporting and insurance claims with risk management and insurance providers.
- Administer fuel and fleet card programs, mileage reimbursement, personal use fees, and payroll coordination.
- Conduct Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks and maintain driver compliance and violation records.
- Prepare and audit monthly fleet invoices; produce financial, fuel, maintenance, and lease reports for finance and accounting.
- Lead annual fleet planning activities including vehicle replacement cycles, insurance compliance, mileage rate calculations, and regulatory reporting.
- Oversee fleet safety programs, driver training, and remedial action guidance for field leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including process optimization, technology pilots, automation, and sustainability programs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of fleet management, transportation, or asset management experience.
- Strong knowledge of fleet leasing, insurance, compliance, and cost controls.
- Experience managing large vehicle fleets and mileage reimbursement programs.
- Advanced reporting, financial analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
