Job Title: Director of Information Technology (IT)

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Work Model: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week)

Base Salary: $190,000 – $200,000 (base, commensurate with experience)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of IT to lead and evolve our technology organization in support of business growth and operational excellence. This role blends hands-on infrastructure expertise with high-level strategic leadership. The ideal candidate comes from a strong infrastructure background (Cisco environment, Security, Azure-first mindset) and has successfully transitioned into a business-aligned IT leader.

You will manage a team of 7 direct reports, drive IT strategy, and partner closely with executive leadership to ensure technology enables scalability, security, and performance across the enterprise.

Leadership & Strategy

Define and execute the IT strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
Serve as a trusted technology advisor to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7 IT managers and senior engineers.
Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions.

Infrastructure & Cloud

Own and optimize a primarily Cisco-based infrastructure environment.
Lead cloud strategy with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure (architecture, governance, security, cost optimization).
Oversee network, server, storage, and cloud operations to ensure high availability and performance.
Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, and infrastructure-as-code where appropriate.

Operations & Governance

Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and best practices.
Ensure robust cybersecurity posture, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and technology budgets.
Implement and mature IT service management processes (ITIL experience is a plus).

Collaboration & Communication

Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Security, Operations, and Business Leaders.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service within IT.

Required

10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in IT leadership or management roles.
Strong infrastructure background in a Cisco network environment.
Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (required).
Strong Security/ Cloud background
You have worked in an Enterprise Environment
Proven experience leading and scaling IT teams.
Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology strategy to organizational goals.
