Position Overview:
The Logistics Inventory Specialist is accountable to keep accurate inventory reconciliation of the Company’s semi-finished and finished products, and in support of timely month end closing activities. In addition to managing inbound/outbound logistics working closely with 3rd party logistics and freight forwarders. Acts as single point of contact liaising with Operations and Finance for inventory control. The role will also collaborate with others within Supply Chain and Customers to assist in bridging the gap between departments for the respective activities associated with month-end closing and Sales. This role is an individual contributor reporting to the Logistics Manager and requires a high level of collaboration and communication with multiple departments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate international inbound shipments, including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with import regulations.
- Manage domestic outbound shipping, ensuring timely delivery, carrier performance, and accurate documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in ERP (SAP) for semi-finished and finished products.
- Act as liaison between Operations, Finance, and Logistics for month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Optimize packaging, labeling, and documentation for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Negotiate with carriers and freight forwarders for cost efficiency and service quality.
- Monitor and report KPIs related to logistics performance and inventory accuracy.
- Create purchase requisitions and process goods receipts/issues in SAP for finished product transactions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes.
- Provide backup support for other logistics coordinators as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive role in inventory management, sales, or related logistics field.
- Minimum undergraduate degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance.
- Strong knowledge of international trade compliance and domestic shipping regulations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator able to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
