POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Concrete Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all concrete operations across multiple commercial and industrial project sites — including large structural pours and smaller specialized scopes. This role ensures all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The supervisor leads concrete crews, manages subcontractors, and partners closely with project managers, engineers, the in-house demo foreman, and clients. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and strict adherence to safety and California labor standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Oversight & Coordination
- Manage day-to-day concrete operations across several concurrent commercial and industrial projects.
- Coordinate with Management, Demo Foreman, and Superintendents to sequence demolition and concrete phases efficiently.
- Schedule and coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors (including pump and concrete suppliers).
- Review drawings, specifications, and pour plans to confirm requirements prior to execution.
- Ensure projects adhere to timelines and proactively adjust resources to meet project demands.
Crew Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach, and motivate concrete crews to maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards.
- Provide on-site direction for formwork, rebar placement, finishing, and concrete mix requirements.
- Coordinate safe and efficient handoff between demo and concrete scopes.
- Address performance issues, support employee development, and conduct periodic evaluations.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and clear communication across all work phases.
Quality Control & Safety
- Enforce company and OSHA/CalOSHA safety standards across all job sites.
- Conduct toolbox talks, daily safety check-ins, and enforce proper PPE usage.
- Inspect work throughout all phases to ensure compliance with structural and engineering requirements.
- Verify demolition areas are safe and ready for concrete work in collaboration with the demo foreman.
- Monitor concrete placement, consolidation, curing, and finishing quality.
- Document site conditions, inspections, non-conformances, and quality-related records.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for project managers, clients, inspectors, demo foreman, vendors, and engineers.
- Provide daily progress updates regarding sequencing, issues, and resource needs.
- Collaborate with engineering and PM teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain strong communication between demo and concrete teams to reduce delays and rework.
Planning, Reporting & Administration
- Develop daily and weekly work plans aligned with project schedules and demo-to-concrete sequencing.
- Track labor hours, equipment use, deliveries, and concrete quantities.
- Identify and report risks promptly, providing recommended corrective actions.
- Assist with takeoffs, estimates, quantities, and pre-pour planning.
- Manage labor hour budgets and material usage to ensure financial compliance.
- Utilize Field Point to track labor, materials, job costs, and productivity for reporting accuracy.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· 5+ years of concrete construction experience, including supervisory or lead roles.
· Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial concrete systems (formwork, reinforcement, mix design, placement, and finishing).
· Ability to manage multiple job sites simultaneously.
· Experience coordinating with demolition teams or similar trades preferred.
· Experience using Field Point or comparable job-costing/project management systems.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
· Valid driver’s license; ability to travel between job sites.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and crew-management skills.
· Commitment to safety, quality control, and professional conduct.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supervising large-scale structural pours (elevated decks, tilt-ups, slabs, walls, foundations).
· Familiarity with digital project management platforms (Procore, FieldPoint, PlanGrid, etc.).
· Bilingual (English/Spanish).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the employee must meet the following physical requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
· Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
· Ability to place and remove materials or equipment from trucks, flatbeds, and company vehicles.
· Ability to work on uneven surfaces, around heavy equipment, and in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, weather).
· Adequate hearing and vision (including color vision) to identify hazards, read plans, and operate safely.
· Ability to drive between job sites, operate company vehicles when required, and maintain valid CA driving requirements.
· Ability to work early mornings, late afternoons, or extended shifts based on pour schedules.
· Ability to work weekends, evenings, and participate in on-call rotations as business needs require.
IT REQUIREMENTS:
· General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
· Ability to navigate and utilize job management and reporting systems including:

· SAGE and related Sage construction modules
· Ability to utilize mobile devices (iPad, tablets, smartphones) for daily reporting, inspections, and communication.
· Ability to manage digital timesheets, uploads, photos, reports, and equipment logs.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
