Responsibilities

Measure and assess roofing areas using blueprint reading and schematics to determine materials and techniques needed for each project
Prepare roofs by installing underlayment, flashing, and other necessary components with precision and attention to detail
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during installation and repair processes
Perform roof repairs, replacements, and restoration work while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards
Assist in the fabrication and installation of roofing components such as metal panels, tiles, or membrane systems
Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control, proper safety measures, and compliance with project specifications
Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry, masonry, or other related construction tasks as needed for comprehensive roofing solutions

Skills

Strong knowledge of roofing systems, construction estimating, and blueprint reading
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy lifting techniques
Experience in construction site management, safety procedures, and quality assurance
Familiarity with schematics, metal stud framing, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, and tile laying
Ability to read technical drawings including schematics and blueprints for accurate project execution
Skilled in restoration work involving masonry or remodeling projects related to roofing structures
Basic maintenance person experience with plumbing or welding is a plus for integrated building tasks
