Industrial Engineer – Manufacturing
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support operational excellence across our manufacturing operations. This role focuses on evaluating processes, identifying inefficiencies, and leading improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce cost, and strengthen quality and safety. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with large-scale process improvement efforts and a strong foundation in data-driven engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes, material flow, labor utilization, and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on waste reduction, throughput optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and workflow modeling to guide decision-making.
- Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, SOPs, and performance metrics.
- Facilitate Lean-focused activities such as Kaizen events, 5S, value stream mapping, and root cause problem-solving.
- Partner with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to implement sustainable process improvements across the facility.
- Support capital project planning, cost justification, and implementation for equipment and process upgrades.
- Track and report improvement project outcomes to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- 2–5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience contributing to or leading large-scale process or operational improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with time studies, data analysis, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, PFMEA, and structured problem-solving tools (A3, 8D, DMAIC).
- Strong communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and relevant manufacturing/engineering systems (ERP/MES).
