About the Position
The Cortland LGBTQ+ Center, a division of Family & Children’s Counseling Services, is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to lead community outreach, education, and wellness initiatives. The Center provides a safe, inclusive space that promotes connection, empowerment, and support for the LGBTQ+ community.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all programs and operations of the LGBTQ Center in alignment with the Department of Health work plan.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate community outreach, educational workshops, and special events.
- Develop and implement activities that promote health, wellness, and positive social engagement for LGBTQ+ individuals.
- Prepare and submit required reports to supervisors and funders.
- Collaborate with local organizations and community partners.
- Work occasional evenings and weekends; travel within Cortland County (and occasionally nearby areas).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required).
- Minimum two years of relevant experience.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Experience collaborating with community-based organizations.
- Knowledge of LGBTQ+ issues, organizations, and resources.
- Professional experience in LGBTQ+ advocacy, education, or community work.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
