Our client in the Chemical Industry is looking to add a talented Process Engineer to their team.
The candidate for this position will be responsible for monitoring the operations of processes and systems, including safety, quality, etc. The candidate should also be able to recommend improvements to the process through the tracking of metrics and reporting of data. The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities and strong communication abilities in order to succeed in this role, and also the willingness and capacity to grow with the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify business challenges by analyzing process data and metrics.
- Facilitate and lead teams to critically review current processes for effectiveness, quality, and simplification.
- Develop and implement process solutions to improve and maximize safety and operational efficiencies.
- Manage capital investment projects to enable on-time delivery and budget adherence.
- Provide technical support as necessary.
- Provide on-site leadership and direction to frontline employees as needed.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members, as well as external vendors/customers, etc.
- Create SOPs, policies, and other guides.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Six Sigma Lean process improvement or operations management within a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of direct leadership and management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- SAP experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
