Our client is a quietly innovative manufacturer whose precision-engineered products improve lives every day. After a multimillion-dollar capacity expansion, they are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer to translate design intent into repeatable, world-class production on two Florida campuses. You will own everything from tooling concepts and validation strategy to operator training, giving you a visible platform to shape yield, cost, and compliance outcomes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert engineering concepts into clear, repeatable shop-floor methods and digital work instructions.
- Build and maintain routing sheets, visual aids, and operator checklists that meet ISO-class quality system requirements.
- Plan and execute equipment qualifications (IQ / OQ / PQ) and small-scale pilot runs, capturing data inside an electronic QMS.
- Lead first-article and readiness reviews, closing any gaps before full release.
- Partner with Quality to analyze non-conformances and drive 8D / CAPA investigations to completion.
- Design or refine jigs, fixtures, and inspection gauges in SolidWorks to boost throughput and ergonomics.
- Train assemblers and technicians on new methods, aiming for zero-defect performance.
- Champion Kaizen and Six Sigma projects that reduce cycle time, scrap, and cost per unit.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3+ years creating or optimizing processes in a regulated environment (medical device, aerospace, automotive, or similar).
- Working knowledge of ISO 13485 (or other QMS) plus hands-on experience with validation, FAI, and SPC.
- Proficiency with CAD tools, ERP/MES platforms, and data-analysis packages such as Minitab.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for coaching shop-floor teams.
Bonus Points
- Exposure to PFMEA, Control Plans, or PPAP documentation.
- History of automating data collection or test setups with scripts or macros.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
Why You Should Apply
- Impact at Scale – Your process roadmap will directly influence yields and cost across multiple product lines.
- Growth Path – Company expansion creates clear promotion opportunities into senior engineering leadership.
- Hands-On Innovation – Access to brand-new capital equipment, prototyping labs, and an engaged cross-functional team.
