Role Description
The Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager is a full-time position based at our Tampa, Florida facility. This role is responsible for managing our rental inventory, overseeing outbound and inbound shipments, and keeping the warehouse organized and ready for upcoming projects.
This is not a traditional warehouse environment where we sell goods and push constant product. We provide services using computer networking and related electronics that are re-deployed dozens of times each year for major live events. Your work directly supports those events by making sure the right gear is prepared, programmed, tested, packed, shipped, and returned in good condition.
You’ll work closely with our Project Management and Technical teams to ensure inventory is accurate, equipment and shipments are ready on schedule, and staff travel and logistics are coordinated smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations at our Tampa facility
- Oversee rental inventory management for networking, computer, and related electronics
- Review, test, validate, and clean rental inventory when they return from events
- Prepare, stage, and pack outbound shipments based on pull sheets and project plans
- Check in inbound shipments and returns, update counts, and flag missing or damaged items
- Maintain organized, clearly labeled storage areas, shelves, and cases
Shipping & Equipment Logistics
- Coordinate outbound and inbound shipments for events and projects
- Ensure equipment is properly packed, labeled, and documented before leaving the warehouse
- Work with drivers, carriers, and partners to schedule and track shipments (parcel, freight, local couriers)
- Handle pickups and deliveries in various markets using company cargo vans and box trucks
- Communicate shipping status, ETAs, and any issues to Project Management and field teams
Staff Logistics & Event Support
- Assist with staff logistics for events, including:
- Booking flights, rental vehicles, and local transportation
- Coordinating hotel reservations and rooming lists
- Supporting site access needs such as badges, credentials, and check-in information
- Provide timely information to staff prior to travel (itineraries, shipping info, on-site contacts)
- Support onsite teams with last-minute logistics adjustments when plans change
- Help refine and document staff logistics processes as the company grows
Qualifications
- Warehouse / logistics experience with a live event / IT company (festivals, touring, AV, rental, or production) strongly preferred; experience with IT / networking inventory or in a warehouse role for an MSP (Managed Service Provider) or other technology services company is a strong plus
- Experience with Stock Control, Inventory Control, and Inventory Management
- Background in operations management, warehouse operations, or logistics
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working around high-value electronics
- Valid driver’s license; experience operating a cargo van (large box truck experience a plus)
- Large box truck and bumper-pull trailer driving experience a plus
- DOT certified (non-CDL) a plus
- Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment
- Prior experience in a similar warehouse management, logistics, or staff coordination role is required
