We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects from initiation to closeout. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and coordinate with others across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies; monitor progress and make timely adjustments to ensure project success..
- Communication & Reporting: Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; prepare regular status reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
- Task & Resource Management: Track project milestones, assign tasks to team members, and coordinate resources (people, tools, vendors) to meet deadlines.
- Issue & Risk Monitoring: Identify potential risks or blockers, escalate issues promptly, and support mitigation efforts.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensure deliverables meet quality standards, and adhere to project governance processes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and field crews; delegate tasks effectively and maintain team motivation.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, prepare cost forecasts, and control change orders to prevent cost overruns.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for Project personnel (clients, architects, engineers, regulators, and vendors); provide regular progress reports and manage expectations.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies, conduct site inspections, ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and quality control standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and submit pay applications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, and project closeout documentation.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and mitigate delays or conflicts that impact scope, schedule, or budget.
- Resource Coordination: Manage allocation of personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources to ensure project continuity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering (other), or a related field.
- Having a formal degree is not a requirement, but is preferred, experience and ability to perform said tasks are the requirement.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Government, Commercial, or Heavy Civil project management.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills; attention to detail; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Tekkla), Excel, AutoCAD and documentation software.
- Soft Skills: Problem-solving, proactive mindset, adaptability, and a collaborative attitude.

This role offers structured mentorship, training, and hands-on experience to build foundational project management skills. With demonstrated performance, Junior Project Managers can progress to independent project ownership and Senior Project Manager roles.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Will have durations of work out of town at the project sites, planning for projects will occur at the Utah Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Structural Steel, Vertical Building, Bridge Construction, or tilt-up construction.
- Familiarity with AISC (Certifications), DOTs (Western 13 state-specific construction standards).
Work Environment:
- Frequent site visits involving walking on uneven terrain, climbing, exposure to weather, heavy equipment, and PPE use.
- Desk work with computer use for planning, to occur in Utah; travel and long hours during critical project phases.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
