Transportation Analyst

The Oregon Fruit Company • Full-time • Portland, OR, US • 4m ago

You're the person who sees a freight invoice and immediately senses something's off. 🔍

You can't help it. While everyone else files the report, you're three tabs deep asking why is this lane costing us double? You find the dollars hiding in plain sight — and then you build the model that makes sure they never hide again. 📊

If that's you, we should talk.

For 90 years, Oregon Fruit Company has turned the Pacific Northwest's finest fruit into products people love. 🌲 Behind every shipment is a logistics operation that has to keep moving — and we want a sharp, relentlessly curious Transportation Analyst to make it move smarter.

This is your kind of role if you: ✨

🧮 Get a genuine thrill from a messy spend report and an empty spreadsheet
🕵️ Treat freight discrepancies like a mystery you have to solve
📈 Love turning numbers nobody else understands into a story leadership acts on
🤝 Can talk carriers, charm a cross-functional team, and brief an executive — all before lunch
🚀 Want to build something, not just maintain it

What you'll own: 💼

📦 Transportation spend across every mode — FTL, LTL, intermodal, and parcel
📊 The dashboards and KPIs that drive our freight cost-per-pound reduction goals
🗺️ Network optimization: routing, consolidation, mode selection, carrier utilization
💪 Carrier negotiations and freight RFPs, backed by real analytical firepower
🧾 Freight bill audits that protect every single dollar of spend
🎯 Findings that go straight to the leadership table

What you bring: 🎒

✅ 3+ years in transportation, logistics, freight analysis, or supply chain
✅ Advanced Excel skills and a real love of data (Power BI or Tableau? Even better 🙌)
✅ Experience with freight auditing, carrier management, and cost analysis
✅ A bachelor's in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
✅ ERP/TMS experience — Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a big plus
