Hughes Bros. is seeking a Junior Project Manager to oversee projects including commercial site work and municipal projects in the Bangor Region. This individual must be be able to guide a project team, work effectively with owners, general contractors, and subcontractors, manage contract administration, and be a problem solver. Estimating skills and experience in the field are desired. Stay close to home on all projects in the greater Bangor Region.
Summary of Duties:
- Project Estimating
- Interpret Specifications and Contract Documents
- Prepare estimates and bid documents.
- Lead crews in an organized and efficient manner.
- Schedule projects, order materials and coordinate with subcontractors.
- Ensure that project is managed and operated in an efficient manner.
- Visit sites daily and provide support to crews.
- Oversee proper care of tools and equipment.
- Provide contract administration including preparation of submittals, pay requests, and other tasks.
- Be proficient in communication, mathematics, and computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Qualifications
- 10 years experience in earthwork construction and/or management; OR Four-year construction management or engineering degree with site experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations and a respect to comply with those regulations to ensure a safe working place.
- Knowledge of aspects of earthwork construction.
- Ability to learn and excel in position.
