Position Summary
The I.T. Support Specialist role is to support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via work order) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
This role is based in our new store on Bourbon Street.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Initial Contact: Acts as the initial point of contact for all computer and system-related concerns from employees.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose problems to resolve calls on various supported computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Hardware & Software Maintenance: Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end-user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products to deliver required desktop service levels.
- Collaboration: Collaborates with the Director of Technology to ensure efficient operation of the organization's desktop computing environment.
- Project Support: Support the development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
- Network Administration: Administers and resolves issues with end-user workstation network software products.
- Ticket & Call Handling: Receives and responds to incoming calls, pages, and/or work orders regarding desktop problems.
- Infrastructure Checks: Ensures that desktop connections, i.e., network jacks, are in proper working order.
- Vendor Management: If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
- General Support: Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to obtain a Missouri Cannabis Agent Card and undergo the state fingerprinting process, covering the initial costs, which the company will reimburse.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Education & Skill Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of work experience in a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of PC, desktop hardware, and PC internal components.
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience and extensive equipment support experience.
- Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds and see/respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
- The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
- The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions as well as low-light situations.
- Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, repetitive use of hands, grasping, and visual acuity.
- Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals.
