Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated individual to manage and coordinate freight shipments between shippers and carriers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills; a basic understanding of the logistics industry; and a proven ability to work within a fast paced environment. This role is critical to ensuring timely, cost-effective transportation of goods across a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate rates and terms with carriers and customers to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain a carrier relationships to ensure availability and capacity
- Manage load boards and internal transportation management systems (TMS)
- Manage inbound/outbound phone calls
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift - 8 am/5pm - 1 hour lunch
