Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Interior Construction Technician to join our team specializing in high-end residential renovations throughout Manhattan. This position involves working in occupied luxury apartments, condominiums, and cooperative buildings, performing quality craftsmanship while maintaining professionalism, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Projects include complete apartment renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, bedrooms, and common interior improvements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, repair, tape, mud, finish, and sand drywall and sheetrock.
- Perform plaster repairs, skim coating, and surface preparation for premium finishes.
- Prepare and paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other interior surfaces.
- Execute high-level finish work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Assist with complete kitchen and bathroom renovations, including demolition, framing, drywall, and finish preparation.
- Perform framing, blocking, insulation, and miscellaneous carpentry associated with interior remodeling.
- Install and repair trim, moldings, baseboards, door casings, shelving, and interior doors.
- Repair walls and ceilings affected by water damage, settlement, or general wear.
- Assist with flooring preparation, subfloor repairs, and finish flooring installation.
- Protect occupied residences by installing floor protection, dust barriers, and containment systems before work begins.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout each project.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and construction equipment.
- Follow project drawings, work orders, and supervisor direction to ensure work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Complete punch-list items and final touch-ups to deliver a finished product that meets the highest quality standards.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all applicable NYC building and job site requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in drywall installation, taping, mudding, plastering, painting, and interior finish work.
- Experience working on residential renovations, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and full apartment remodels.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a construction team.
- Familiarity with common construction tools, materials, and safety procedures.
- Reliable, dependable, punctual, and professional.

- Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites throughout Manhattan.
- Must be able to lift and carry construction materials and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work in occupied residential buildings while maintaining a professional appearance and respectful demeanor.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment
Projects are located primarily in Manhattan, New York City, within luxury apartment buildings, cooperative residences, and condominiums. Employees are expected to maintain a clean work area, protect client property, follow building rules and regulations, and consistently deliver high-quality workmanship while representing the company in a professional manner.
Pay: $180.00 - $220.00 per day
