Construction Project Manager - Remote
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of both new and existing construction projects at AACON General Contractors. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements and quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison among clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, and plays a key role in driving project execution, maintaining compliance, and supporting AACON’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct all phases of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Review project requirements, including bid documents, bonding, insurance, safety plans, schedules, and contract terms.
- Coordinate with estimating teams to support pre-bid strategy and participate in project handoff meetings.
- Prepare, review, and manage project documentation, including Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), Quality Control Plans (QCPs), RFIs, daily and weekly reports, subcontractor agreements, and purchase orders.
- Lead client communications and project meetings to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Support the development of estimates, quantity takeoffs, and design alternatives as required.
- Manage subcontractor buyouts, procurement activities, and contract modifications.
- Collaborate with field superintendents to ensure work is executed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Provide billing projections, cost tracking, and financial reporting to AACON’s Controller and leadership team.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, regulatory requirements, and QA/QC standards.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve project issues, delays, or conflicts and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate project records and closeout documentation, including warranties and as-built drawings.
- Represent AACON in stakeholder meetings and contribute to strategic project planning and execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of three (3) years of construction project management experience, preferably with federal and commercial projects.
- Prior experience as a Project Superintendent or Quality Control Manager is a plus.
- Demonstrated record of successfully delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar construction management and scheduling software.
- Strong financial and cost-control skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
- Ability to read, interpret, and manage technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
Other Requirements
- Ability to pass a federal background check for project site access.
- Willingness to travel and stay at project sites as required.
- Physically able to climb ladders and stairs, and sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
