About the Opportunity
A leading private aviation organization is seeking an experienced candidate for Vice President, Commercial & Group Charter to lead the continued growth of its commercial aircraft charter business. This senior role is designed to be responsible for expanding market presence, developing strategic client relationships, and overseeing the successful execution of complex charter programs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven aviation sales leader with deep experience in commercial aircraft charter and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the commercial and group charter business across domestic and international markets.
- Identify new business opportunities while cultivating and expanding relationships with existing clients and strategic partners.
- Oversee the sales process for complex charter opportunities, including client consultation, aircraft sourcing, pricing strategy, proposal development, contract negotiation, and trip execution.
- Build long-term relationships with corporate, government, sports, entertainment, travel, and other key charter clients.
- Collaborate with operations, sourcing, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional client experiences.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and service expansion.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
- Assist in developing strategic initiatives, sales processes, and marketing efforts to strengthen market position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in commercial aircraft charter sales or aviation business development, including leadership and management experience.
- Demonstrated success building and growing client relationships while consistently achieving revenue objectives.
- Strong understanding of commercial aircraft charter operations, market dynamics, pricing, and industry regulations.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority opportunities simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience
- Existing network of relationships within the commercial aviation industry.
- Experience with government, corporate, sports, entertainment, or large-scale group charter programs.
- Familiarity with domestic and international charter operations and complex logistics.
- Experience leading business development initiatives and managing high-performing sales teams.
