Job Summary
Seeking an additional Full-Time EMS Provider to join Clarion Ambulance Service, where your expertise will make a vital difference in urgent and critical situations. In this role, you will deliver high-quality pre-hospital care to patients in diverse environments, ensuring swift, safe, and effective treatment while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Your proactive approach and compassionate care will help save lives and support communities during their most challenging moments. This position offers an opportunity to work in a rural EMS setting with approximately 30-35 calls monthly. No overtime or additional on-call requirements. Position will require holiday and weekend hours, mid-and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical attention to patients at the scene of emergencies, utilizing advanced skills such as airway management, injection administration, and vital signs assessment as allowed within scope of practice.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, physiology evaluation, and medical history review to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer medications following aseptic techniques and medical protocols while documenting all procedures accurately in patient records.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely under various driving conditions, adhering to traffic laws and safety standards while performing heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and emergency room personnel to facilitate seamless patient handoffs and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain proficiency in medical equipment use, venipuncture, and other technical skills essential for comprehensive patient care in urgent settings.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in EMS operations with EMT experience or higher certifications; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Prefer a minimum of two years EMS experience in 911-based setting.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology relevant to emergency medicine.
- Ability to perform complex patient assessments including vital signs measurement, physical examinations, and venipuncture procedures.
- Strong understanding of airway management techniques for trauma patients. Current PHTLS certificate desired.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in urgent care scenarios. Pay: $20.50 - $21.63 per hour
