We are looking for a Fleet & Logistics Coordinator to support manufacturing operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia through a Contract assignment. This onsite role will help keep vehicles, vendor activity, and logistics support functions organized so day-to-day operations run smoothly. The position is ideal for someone who can balance administrative accuracy with responsive coordination in a fast-moving environment, with potential for longer-term opportunity based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate vehicle service scheduling, maintenance follow-up, and repair tracking to help keep the fleet operational and compliant.
• Prepare, review, and maintain registration records, compliance files, and other fleet-related documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Serve as a central point of contact for external service providers and suppliers, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
• Assist drivers and internal teams with routing, scheduling, and transportation-related questions to support daily logistics activity.
• Monitor incoming fleet communications, identify operational concerns, and escalate urgent matters to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Track service needs, vendor updates, and fleet status information in spreadsheets and internal records for reporting and planning purposes.
• Support shipping and distribution coordination by helping align transportation needs with operational priorities.
• Work independently to manage multiple requests, maintain organization, and respond quickly to changing business demands in the Virginia Beach, Virginia location.
• At least 1 year of experience in fleet support, logistics coordination, transportation operations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, and internal teams with strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond calmly and efficiently to operational issues.
• High attention to detail when handling records, compliance materials, and time-sensitive updates.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced onsite environment.
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for tracking information, maintaining logs, and supporting reporting needs.
• Experience managing vendor relationships or supporting shipping, distribution, or transportation activities is preferred.
