Summary
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Global Operations. Develops a strategic roadmap to improve capability in the areas of demand planning, supply planning, logistics and supplier collaboration. The role will be dedicated to developing and implementing Best Practices within the entire materials and logistics functions across the business unit. Must be capable of translating objectives into a deliverable strategy to achieve business goals and create a competitive advantage against our competition. Focusing on building a world-class team, utilizing, and deploying Lean Six Sigma techniques, driving continuous improvement activities and achievement of superior performance across all Key Performance Initiatives & metrics. This position will provide leadership and direction on a cross functional basis with multiple site locations globally.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Execute strategically and tactically to deliver the supply to support our customers and company requirements while optimizing overall stock levels in raw, work in process and finished goods.
- Develop and execute a purchasing strategy for AMS Business Unit, which highlights the current status, major areas of opportunity, and the desired status, and the lines of action to close the gap.
- Implement world class models and methodologies in the areas of the scope above.
- Manage regulatory compliance for sourcing and purchasing activities.
- Develop a high performing global organization through constant monitoring of KPI metrics and communication with plants.
- Develop and execute a strategic materials and logistics roadmap that drives positive results in Revenue, Cost, Cashflow (Inventory mainly) and Customer Experience.
- Lead and actively participate in the supply & procurement chain decision process, as well as assisting in establishing long-term objectives.
- Collaborate with Purchasing area of S&M business unit to identify areas of cooperation.
- Continuously develop skills by seeking opportunities in areas throughout the supply chain & procurement function. Deploy lessons learned look-across to optimize opportunities.
- Develop leading and lagging indicators across lines of business to improve predictive accuracy.
- Develop world class ERP utilization and skillset within the team.
- Lead and coach the Supply Chain organization for AMS Business Unit deploying.
- Engage with CTS Operating System to implement across all locations to seamlessly work together to deliver results.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Manufacturing experience with a detailed understanding of worldwide manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service, supplier relationship and inter-company supply processes.
- Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing and lean transformation in Supply Chain.
- Ample experience in Purchasing in an international environment and organization.
- Knowledge on maquiladora legal requirements and processes in Mexico.
- Experience working and influencing in a matrixed organization to achieve objectives.
- Analytical skills, be able to process data and consolidate, find trends and anomalies.
- Interpersonal skills to work with all levels within the company.
- Able to work in a collaborative, teamwork environment.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn continuously.
- Demonstrated track record of developing high performing teams.
- Possesses a strong business acumen with the presence, experience, and communication skills suitable for relating to various levels within the organization and in various geographic regions.
- Ability to travel (domestic and international) as needed up to 50% at times
Education and Experience
- B.S. degree in fields like business administration, economics, or supply chain management.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role with a global business of relevant size and complexity.
- Deep expertise in electronics manufacturing, automotive, defense or a related industry sector.
- Experience negotiating and managing high-value, global supply, and outsourced relationships.
- Demonstrated track record of developing high performing teams.
- SAP experience.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $175-210K.
This position is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
