We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window/Door Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining windows and doors in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in construction environments, ensuring that installations are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Install windows, doors, and gates according to specifications and building codes.
- Measure and cut materials accurately to fit various window and door frames.
- Perform cabinet installation as needed, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Engage in metal and wood stud framing for structural support during installations.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot installation issues effectively.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and fixtures during the installation process.
- Fabricate components as necessary to ensure a perfect fit for each installation.
- Execute frame carpentry tasks, including building frames for windows, trim work, and doors.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand installation requirements.
- Install fixtures such as locks, handles, and other hardware associated with windows and doors.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions from supervisors to contribute to a smooth workflow.
- Safety awareness: Adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and awareness of potential hazards.
- Time management: Effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and maintain a productive work pace.
- Communication skills: Clear communication with team members and supervisors regarding tasks, issues, and safety.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction site environments is essential.
- Strong background in carpentry with a focus on frame carpentry techniques.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings related to installations.
- Mechanical knowledge that allows for effective troubleshooting during installations.
- Experience with cabinet installation is a plus.
- Familiarity with metal stud framing techniques is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
