Job Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving Starr's enterprise infrastructure environments. This position is intended for an engineer who can contribute immediately and work directly with on-premises and cloud infrastructure technologies supporting production systems.

- Virtualization & Compute: VMware
- Cloud Platform: Microsoft Azure (including Azure Landing Zones and DR subscriptions)
- Disaster Recovery & Replication: Zerto & Microsoft ASR
- Backup & Recovery: Commvault
- IT Service Management & CMDB: ServiceNow (CMDB, ITOM aligned environments)
- Monitoring and Alerting Platforms: Solarwinds, PagerDuty, and VMware vROPs
- Application and Desktop Delivery Platforms: Citrix and AVD
- Operating Systems: Windows Server
- Data Center Environments
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for enterprise infrastructure platforms (VMware, Azure, storage, backup, DR)
- Support daily operations of on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments
- Troubleshoot and remediate infrastructure incidents in production environments
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades, refreshes, data center activities, and modernization initiatives
- Support disaster recovery, backup operations, and failover testing
- Work with vendors while retaining direct technical ownership of configurations and fixes
- Follow change, incident, and problem management processes
- Maintain accurate asset and configuration data in ServiceNow CMDB
Required Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of hands-on enterprise infrastructure engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with VMware and Windows Server
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure or hybrid-cloud environments
- Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery platforms (Zerto, Commvault)
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure issues in live production environments
- Ability to work independently and contribute immediately
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM data quality practices
- Exposure to data center migrations or refresh programs
