We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT environments, with a strong focus on networking, routing, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities - Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex IT infrastructure and networking issues
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot:
- Firewalls
- Managed switches
- Routers
- Wireless networking equipment
- Support and administer VMware virtual environments and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
- Monitor network performance, security, and system availability
- Assist with server administration, backups, disaster recovery, and system upgrades
- Support and troubleshoot IP and cloud-based phone systems
- Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve escalated technical issues
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and systems
- Participate in project planning, deployments, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities - 5+ years of IT support or systems/network administration experience
- Strong real-world experience with:
- Networking and routing
- Firewalls and network security
- Managed switches
- VMware virtualization
- Microsoft Azure
- Experience supporting IP/Cloud phone systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Industry certifications such as:
- CompTIA Network+
- Cisco CCNA
- VMware VCP
- Microsoft Azure certifications
- Experience in K-12, higher education, or government environments is a plus
