Project Coordinator
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview
The Project Coordinator supports the Business Program Management (BPM) team in the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional programs and projects. Working closely with a Senior Program and/or Project Manager, this role plays a key part in project governance, coordination, and change management alignment to ensure consistent and effective project delivery across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution Support
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, ensuring alignment with scope, requirements, resources, and deliverables
- Support execution activities to help keep projects on track and aligned with objectives
Schedule & Timeline Management
- Track project milestones, deadlines, and dependencies to ensure accurate and up-to-date timelines
- Identify potential risks to timelines and escalate issues proactively
Risk & Issue Management
- Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
- Support development of mitigation strategies and track resolution of issues
Communication & Coordination
- Act as a liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and external vendors
- Support regular project communications through meetings, status updates, and reporting
Resource Coordination
- Assist with task assignments and resource tracking
- Help ensure availability of necessary resources, tools, and materials
Administrative Support, Documentation & Reporting
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document key outcomes, action items, and decisions
- Maintain project documentation and BPM content in SharePoint and project management tools (e.g., Wrike)
- Prepare dashboards and status reports for stakeholders and leadership
Quality Assurance
- Support quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards
- Coordinate review and approval workflows
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, sponsors, and stakeholders
- Provide regular updates and help manage stakeholder expectations
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination or a related role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with SharePoint preferred
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Wrike, MS Project, MS Planner, Jira, or similar preferred
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment is a plus
