Summary:
The Manager of Fuel Logistics is responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective fuel deliveries to retail sites in an assigned region, establishing good working relationships with the third-party carriers, departments, and employees in the company, and contributing to functional and corporate success with a continuous improvement mindset.
Major Responsibilities:
Achieve zero run outs in an assigned region.
Monitor site inventories and follow up with carriers to ensure fuel deliveries are scheduled and delivered timely according to forecast with a target of zero run out.
Review forecasting tool and update forecasts for each site daily.
Review allocations and follow up with suppliers and/or supply team to ensure adequate allocations at the racks.
Monitor supplier notifications and direct carriers to alternative terminals and/or suppliers as required.
Provide the carriers with the lowest cost sourcing and optimum lifting time based on market moves to maximize fuel margins.
Ensure each market has a primary and a secondary carrier as well as a back up carrier to deploy as a contingency.
Support the carriers by changing supply, terminal, product, and volume directives in emergencies or extraordinary events such as supply disruptions, road closures, inclement weather, traffic, etc.
Monitor carrier performance and follow up promptly to eliminate carrier originated issues.
Build a good working relationship with the carriers to improve carrier performance and create an effective carrier network.
Monitor and manage freight costs including additional charges.
Conduct a root cause analysis for each run out and develop an action plan to eliminate such run outs.
Participate in technology upgrades or other performance update projects as required.
Manage lifting compliance for both brand and primary terminal.
Collaborate with different departments such as fuel pricing, environmental, accounting, and IT to reach company goals.

Retail fuel logistics experience.
Inventory management system experience.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and support operations in a timely and effective manner.
College degree in supply chain, business, or any other quantitative field.
Strong analytical skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
SQL, Power BI, Access, or other programming or database knowledge
