We are seeking a Logistics and Shipping (Fleet) Coordinator to manage freight sourcing through brokers while also overseeing coordination of company vehicles used by supervisors and field staff. This role combines transportation coordination with internal fleet support, requiring strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

This is HANDS ON position with responsibilities in the office and warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

Freight Sourcing & Broker Management:

Source truck capacity by contacting freight brokers for load coverage
Request, compare, and negotiate rates to ensure competitive pricing
Book loads and confirm shipment details with brokers
Build and maintain strong broker relationships
Track shipments and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
Resolve service issues and arrange backup coverage when needed

Fleet Coordination (Company Vehicles):

Manage day-to-day oversight of company vehicles assigned to supervisors and staff
Schedule and track routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing
Ensure vehicles are up to date on registrations, tags, and insurance
Maintain records for each vehicle (service history, mileage, assignments)
Coordinate vehicle assignments, availability, and replacements as needed
Track vehicle usage and report issues such as damage or excessive wear
Work with vendors for maintenance, repairs, and vehicle-related services

Administrative & Operational Support:

Maintain accurate records and internal systems
Communicate updates with internal teams and customers
Monitor freight market trends and broker performance

Qualifications:

1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, operations, or fleet coordination preferred
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel preferred) and logistics systems
Comfortable coordinating both external partners (brokers) and internal teams
High school diploma required
