Key Responsibilities (Golden, CO - Onsite Only)
- Design & Development:
- Design electrical wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and routing using CAD tools
- Interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams to define harness layout and connectivity
- Specify/Validate wire gauges, insulation types, shielding, connectors, terminals, and protective coverings (e.g., braids, sleeving, tubing) as per customer requirements
- Manufacturing:
- Read machine manuals and set up the machines for wire cutting, stripping, and crimping. Ensure the outcome meets the IPC-620 standard or the MFR specification
- Maintain and troubleshoot machine and tool functionality
- Develop manufacturing processes for both large and small volume production to maximize efficiency
- Acquire or recommend new tools or machines based on customer requirements
- Documentation & BOMs:
- Create/Verify and maintain harness drawings, wiring diagrams, and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Generate manufacturing documentation, including Work Instructions and wire lists
- Ensure documentation complies with company standards and applicable industry regulations (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620, AS50881, and ISO 9001)
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with electrical engineers to determine/verify circuit requirements and signal integrity to ensure meeting the customer’s requirements
- Coordinate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper fit, form, and function in assemblies
- Liaise with procurement and suppliers to source components and ensure part availability
- Testing & Validation:
- Support harness prototype builds, troubleshooting, and functional testing
- Analyze and resolve design issues found during development, installation, or production
- Create/Validate Test Reports, FAIRs, etc., as required by the customer
- Process & Compliance:
- Ensure harnesses meet environmental, electrical, and mechanical standards for the application
- Follow standard safety protocols and quality standards, including EMI/EMC considerations, cable/wire lengths, and bend radius requirement
- Miscellaneous: Perform other assigned duties as required
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred
- Preferred: Sales Technical Support, Technical Customer Support, and QC experience
- 5 + years of progressive professional experience, specifically in cable assembly and electronic manufacturing
- Strong analytical capabilities, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide diverse stakeholders
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
- Must be proficient with Microsoft and Google Tools
- Familiar with AutoCad and/or Solidworks
- Hands-on experience with Lab Tools, i.e., DVMs, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Wire Cutters, Crimpers, Microscopes, etc

Benefits
- The base salary for this position is estimated to range from $75,000 to $110,000.
- The final starting salary is determined by evaluating several key factors, including the candidate's relevant skills, professional experience, and the geographic location of the role. This ensures a fair and competitive compensation package that is aligned with both the candidate's qualifications and current local market conditions.
