We’re partnered with a rapidly scaling engineering and technology business in Texas, building advanced systems at the intersection of automation, machinery and robotics. As part of continued growth, they’re looking to appoint a Head of Mechanical Engineering to lead, shape and scale a high performing team delivering complex, real world hardware.

This is not a purely strategic role, we’re looking for someone who still enjoys getting close to the detail. You’ll combine leadership with hands on engineering, driving projects from concept through to deployment in fast paced, production focused environments.

The Role

Lead and develop a mechanical engineering team
Own the mechanical design strategy across automation / robotics platforms
Drive full product lifecycle delivery — concept, prototyping, validation, production
Stay close to the technical detail, supporting design reviews and problem-solving
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software and manufacturing teams
Implement best practices across design, testing and scalability

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience leading and growing high performing engineering teams
Strong hands-on background in automation, machinery or robotics systems
Deep expertise in mechanical design (CAD, DFM, tolerance analysis, materials, etc.)
Track record delivering complex mechanical systems into production
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, scaling or R&D-led environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
