This role is ideal for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for product development. You’ll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to design, develop, and refine mechanical products from concept through production. The position offers a strong blend of creativity and practicality, with a focus on designing for manufacturability and improving existing product lines.
Salary: 65-75k
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical products and components using CAD software (SolidWorks or similar)
- Create detailed drawings, assemblies, and specifications for production
- Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and cost
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new product designs
- Assist in continuous improvement efforts for existing products and processes
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 1–4+ years of experience in mechanical/product design
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
