Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Transportation Network Lead to support the execution of a large-scale transportation network transformation. This role will focus on managing key aspects of a 3PL-supported transportation model, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and operational performance.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role ideal for candidates with strong experience in transportation operations, 3PL environments, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional support for U.S. transportation operations including last mile distribution, replenishment, and international shipments
- Support transportation RFP execution, including scope definition, documentation, bid evaluation, and onboarding
- Collaborate with 3PL providers and carriers to translate strategy into operational plans
- Evaluate transportation routes, modes, and providers to optimize cost, service, and efficiency
- Manage day-to-day transportation execution across multiple modes (Parcel, LTL, Truckload, Intermodal)
- Monitor and track carrier and 3PL performance KPIs, including on-time delivery, tender acceptance, and route compliance
- Perform detailed data analysis and reporting to identify cost savings and service improvements
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Warehouse, Planning, Customer Service) to align transportation execution
- Provide regular updates to leadership on performance, risks, and recommendations
- Support post-go-live stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Strong experience working with 3PL providers
- Hands-on experience with multi-mode transportation (Parcel, LTL, Truckload, Intermodal; ocean is a plus)
- Experience supporting RFPs, SOP development, and carrier onboarding
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Experience with TMS systems (Blue Yonder preferred) and ERP tools (JDE is a plus)
- Strong communication and project execution skills
